Get to know the functionality of our terminals Second-generation intelligent tachographs
Due to the European Commissions introduction of new regulations requiring transport companies to replace their tachographs with the newer second-generation intelligent tachographs, we have added support for them in terminals S8.5 and S10.5.
We would also like to remind you that in order to open DDD files downloaded from second-generation intelligent tachographs, you need to update the drivers working time analysis software you are using.
How to verify if you are dealing with a second-generation intelligent tachograph?
The identification label on the VDO tachograph indicates version R4.1 or higher
The identification label on the Stoneridge tachograph indicates version 8.1 or higher
What needs to be done to make the terminal support a second-generation intelligent tachograph?
In the case of the S8.5 terminal
The TMR module requires an update to version 2.1.4.2 or higher. You can perform a remote update of the module using the command available in the document that outlines the history of all changes, which is accessible here.
In the case of the S10.5 terminal
The CAN/TMR module requires an update to version 3.0.10/3.0.10.17 or higher. Please contact our Technical Department to generate a file for remote module update by sending its serial number - using the CANSERIAL command.
