Problems with remote authorization Error in VDO 4.0 tachographs
Recently, we have been receiving reports regarding failed remote authorization in VDO tachographs. After thorough analysis, we found that all cases are similar atranslnd pertain to VDO 4.0 tachographs, specifically versions 4.0, 4.0e, and 4.0ed.
Upon verifying this issue directly with the tachograph manufacturer, we determined that it is caused by a software error in these devices. The problem arises when attempting remote authorization using a company card with an expired expiration date. In such cases, the tachograph becomes locked and does not allow further remote authorization until its software is updated to version 4.0f.
